Content licence

Tree data you submit is published under the Open Database License (ODbL). Photos you submit are published under CC BY-SA. By submitting a tree or a photo, guest or signed in, you grant KODAMAP that licence to publish it.

Minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or submit a tree.

Climbing is at your own risk

Climbing a tree is dangerous. Branches break, bark gives way, and a fall from head height can kill you. The effort and joy ratings on KODAMAP are other people's opinions, not a safety inspection — nobody from KODAMAP has tested any tree listed here for structural soundness, and nobody can know its condition today. If you climb a tree found through this site, you do so entirely at your own risk. Check the tree yourself before you trust it with your weight. Don't climb with children unsupervised. KODAMAP, its creator, and its contributors accept no liability for injury, death, or property damage arising from climbing a tree listed on this site.

Accounts

Email and password only. Delete your account any time from settings; trees you added can stay on the map with the attribution changed to "someone".
